why can I not see my equalizer?

I have just bought a Nokia lumia 520 and when I got it I up dated the OS. The phone is empty and working well but on putting some music on it I tried to bring up the equaliser to adjust the Audio correctly and it wont come up. I go to Settings > Audio and for a second some screen comes up. I think it may be the equaliser screen but it's too fast to tell and then it is replaced buy the enhancements screen.
I can not find any way to fix this and unlike the Android phone I had before there dose not seem to be any kind of 3rd party equaliser or player I can download. Can anyone help me?

In WP u need headphones too access equalizer.
But in ur case the Lumia 520 doesn't support equalizer anyway. It's a well known thing that 520 doesn't support and ever since it's release a lot users have been asking for it but it never came to 520...
