Windows Central Question

I have a HP Spectre laptop, and after downloading Windows 10, I'm unable to make the screen brighter or dimmer.

I've tried everything online websites suggest, like changing advanced power settings, troubleshooting, going Device Manager>Monitors>Properties>Generic Pnp Monitor>Enable, as well as Display Adapters>Microsoft Basic Display Adapter>Enable (which is the only option under Display Adapters).

I also don't have a brightness bar come up in settings. I'm unable to click on the brightness once I've clicked on the battery button in the lower left corner of the screen.

When going to the Mobility Centre, the brightness slider is there, but when I move it, nothing happens.

Did you visit the HP website and check if there are some (driver) updates for your specific model.
Or use one of the preloaded HP (settings) programs?
Good Luck.
