Why can't I connect my Lumia 525 to Windows 7?

i cannot connect my lumia 525 to windows 7

I have installed zune software for the same ,still it doesn't shows anything on my pc !!!

Zune does not support Windows Phone 8 or higher...

Try changing your USB cable. Using the cable came with your phone would work.
Make sure your screen is unlock.

Go to device drivers uninstall them and then connect your phone they will automatically be installed
