why i can't control my brightness in windows 10?

i have download and install windows 10 from the official site.after installing win10,i can not operate brightness option.

Do you have a laptop and are you using a keyboard shortcut to operate the brightness controls?

I suspect it's a driver issue. Possibly the keyboard driver or the display driver. Please consider creating a login and explaining your system's configuration with a little more detail. That will help us figure out a solution.

I have the same problem, with a Surface Pro 2 4200. Windows is disabling the intel HD family device with code 43 error. I have removed the device, reinstalled it, tried windows provided driver and the more recent driver on intel site. nothing works. It is also stopping me us the HDMI output etc.

I had same problem tried reinstalling, using older version and many tricks.
But the following setting change worked for me.

1) Go to Device manager
2) Open Monitor option ( Below Mice and other pointing decive)
3) Opening Monitor option will reveal "Generic Pnp monitor"
4) Right click here and select "Enable"
5) Done

I experienced something similar.
I used to be able to change brightness on my keyboard on Windows 7. There also was a cool indicator.
Then on Windows 8, nothing worked, couldn't change anything, no indicators or anything. Though it was on max so it was OK with me.
Now on Windows 10, I can change the brightness of the display in the action center, and in the settings app, but no longer on my keyboard.

Strange is all I can say.
