Why can't I get sound with windows 10?

I cannot get sound on any videos with windows 10

I can't either. Was fine for a week or so. Now I can't hear my movies or music - everything else is fine. What the hell has happened and can anybody on here advise. Or should I give up on Windows 10 and revert to Windows 7?
