Why can't I open a hyperlink sent by text?

Received several hyperlinks by text from Shoppers Drug Mart for Daily deals. The hyperlink is not underlined or a different colour. I called Shoppers. They are not having problems on their end and said it might be a setting on my phone. Please advise what settings should be changed.

Hyperlinks are detected automatically if they are formatted as abc.com or http://abc.com. There isn't a particular phone setting to enable it.

Copy and paste might work as well though I haven't tried it.
