Why can't I pin my photo app to my windows phone startscreen?

This is on of the app's that came with the phone. I admit that my first setup was a mess so I reset the phone and reinstalled my app's. Everything else works ok.

By "photo app" you mean taking photos or viewing your photo gallery?
Have you already "hidden" the tile in some folder? (because that's what happened to me one time).
