Why can't I update to Windows 10?

Cant update to win10

I have win8 on Lumia 640 lte and I installed windows insider and if i check for downloads and press download ,it never downloads them,can someone help me?

Are you on WiFi?
I'm assuming that you have selected fast or slow ring, which reboots the phone.
It's not clear from your post, but you have then gone to settings and checked for updates?
In all honesty though you are not missing much at the moment and your phone will run better on WP8.1.
