Why did tablet mode stop working on Yoga 3?

Tablet mode stopped working on Yoga 3

After upgrading to Windows 10 the tablet/tent functions stopped working. Screen will not rotate and virtual keyboard appears then disappears.

I had the same problems. I was able to fix the rotation problems by going into Services and changing the sensor monitoring service to Automatic instead of manual. I am not clear why the on screen keyboard will not work though. I have the same problem where it appears and then 'slides' back off the screen immediately.

I have a Yoga 3 11 and had similar issues with the W10 update.
I managed to fix it by installing:
installing all available Windows 10 updates (cumulative patches)
Lenovo ITE sensor firmware update (probably only available for Yoga 3 11)
Lenovo Harmony (in Windows 8.1. compatibility mode)
Lenovo Settings app for Windows 10
