Why did you buy your 620

I wonder... If glance is on interval mode and the digitiser comes on every time there is light detected, would it still waste as much battery as always on double tap to wake?

Yes i, and i'm sure everyone else, is well aware the size kick is an industry wide thing, i didn't think that needed to be pointed out. Just saying, personally, not a fan. But that's okay, no doubt it'll swing back the other way at some point.

The 520 isn't under $100 everywhere in the World, it's almost $200 where i am, and the 620 only $50 more, sometimes less.

$250 :(

Because it was cheap and had nfc, front camera and flash.
Now going to get a l625 [arriving tomorrow ;)]

Out of the 5/6/720 the ppi of the 620 is more. Price was reasonable. Flash , expandable memory, removable battery. Feels well built.

It even has more ppi than the 820. Our 620's screen lines with WP's high-end handsets.

Bought it to replace my son's cracked screen 520. Got it on a Black Friday sale for $10 more than the 520. He loves the design, led flash, front facing camera and the screen.

They did make one Its called the 625

Nope, same RAM. That's actually the only regret I have. Oh, wait! The storage, too. If only Nokia made it 16gb. Oh, well, you can't have everything, specially for its budget price. So, other than that, 625 is amazing!

Well, I bought it for my daughter. Not myself, I'm covered ;)

My daughter needed a phone. Went for a smartphone right away. She already played with a handed down iPhone 3GS (wothout SIM) of my wife's but that was unfortunately lost so she needed a new an "live" one.

First I was thinking that Apple actually came through and offered the 5C up as a real budget phone at about 200-300$ off contract, but that turned out too be an illusion.

Then I thought about Androids, but remembered the pain I went through managing my own, so that was a given NO.

That left the WP's and I already enjoyed the Lumia 800 and 920, so it was just a matter of finding one that would fit her needs.

520 was missing the FFC, so that bit the dust.

The 720 was twice the cost and missing Here Drive+

The 620 was even smaller in size which was a plus so it had to be that one.

She only complains about the RAM (not being able to run Subway Surfer) and a few missing apps like Video Star and Minecraft for which she still has to rely on her iPad.

If Nokia had included 1GB RAM it would have been the perfect smartphone at less than 200$ off contract. As it is now it is still the best choice for a "kids" smartphone at less than 200$ off contract IMO. I would even consider one for myself if I had to go budget, but I would probably spend the extra buck for the 820's extra RAM in that case.

Got a 620 through work to replace a Blackberry which I hated. Not seen many negative responses on here which I find strangely lacking as my colleagues & I have numerous issues:
- keeps dropping calls for no reason, very regularly, with full network signal
- slow response when answering calls often turns off bluetooth when you slide up a 2nd time as the screen hasn't responded yet, killing the hands free connection
- no option for selective call forwarding, only forwarding on or off to a fixed number. Even old Nokias could select Unanswered / Not Available. I've seen links to the linux codes to do this, sorry, this is not a proper option. When on holiday I prefer to divert to the office if unanswered so I can screen calls - can't do this on this phone.
- very poor speaker quality on calls, crackles. My sons 4 year old budget LG Android is far better.
- often decides I can no longer access Internet, needs a power off reboot to restore this
- randomly stops receiving emails from the 3 accounts I have set up, never all at the same time, just chooses 1 and stops receiving. Again, power boot needed.
- Screen stops responding to swipes / presses but the buttons still work - you got it, power boot again.

I do regret not choosing a new Blackberry instead now even though I didn't like the phone. I have always been a Nokia fan but this phone is terrible. I have ordered a Moto G at my own expense to replace this, never been an Android user but 5 minutes with a friends phone showed me how simple it is and the reviews for the Moto G are massively positive.

Needed a new phone, my Nokia 5530 was showing its age. Don't like iPhones and they are way too expensive anyway. Don't realy like Android either. That just left WP (hadn't tried it before though).
I was looking at both 520 and 620, but in the end got the 620 because of camera flash, FFC (I don't realy use it, but still a nice thing to have :D), and Drive+, also the screen is better (brighter), and coming from a 2.9" phone, I didn't want to go big (620 is the smallest WP8 phone). Been using it for 5 months now, just love it :)

I bought one recently off a online retailer brand new unlocked originally as a backup device to companion my Lumia 920 & HTC Windows 8X. Previously was using my HTC One X and iPhone 4 as backup phones which pretty much crapped out on me. I can honestly say I'm really happy with the 620 it's a nice solid phone that does everything that my Lumia 920 and 8X can do obviously minus a few little things but it's been great so far. I got the white version but I'm seeking out the lime green and yellow battery housing cover to switch it up. Never had an issue with it as of yet. Runs perfect on the Telus network. Only thing I wish it had was 16gb of internal storage over the 8gb and a slightly bigger battery would be nice..not a big deal though it's nice having an SD card slot to hot swap different cards. There aren't many budget phones out there as of right now even in 2014 that really work as well and are priced at 140 brand new as the Nokia Lumia 620 in my opinion.

I got it because it fits my needs to my budget. Nice handset and as long as you add a Lumia 520 battery it becomes great

I bought a 620 for my mother last year. It's her first cell phone and she didn't need all the bells and whistles that high end phones have, so this one was perfect for her. She just uses her phone for calls, texting, browsing the web and playing games. Doesn't even have an SD card or any music on it.

I bought the 620 because it has all the essentials a wp8 phone should have at a very affordable price. Plus you can change the color of the phone at a whim if your mood dictates it. I have extra blue and black shells to accompany my yellow and every time i replace it, i can't help but smile, cause i have a new phone :)

I currently have a BlackBerry Z10 with Tmobile but I'm looking at switching over to Aio and using the Tmobile JUMP plan to switch the BB to a cheaper one for my brother. If I tried to transfer my number or cancel with Tmobile I'd have to pay the Early Termination Fee (even though I upgraded to the BB last year and the plan got switched to the Simple No Contract...we are still under contract until July...it just didn't get extended out). Don't get me started on Apple...never had one but almost caved once just to get what everybody else had but my boyfriend convinced me otherwise. Probably a good move seeing as how I've always been against the Apple bandwagon...why turn my back now? LOL.

I ordered the Lumia 620 Yellow to see how well Aio's service works in the Boise area. I just ordered it like 20 minutes ago so I haven't received it yet. I'm bummed it doesn't have LTE but it's affordable and even if I don't like it I can just purchase a refurbished BB z10 and Bring it to Aio since I like my BB...I just don't want to fork over the $450 left on the EIP:shocked:. I know I'm paying about 120$ for it but I consider it a rental since I'm on JUMP. If I don't like the 620, I can always get an unlocked BB z10 refurbished or used on Ebay around $200 and up...which is a tad more reasonable. Another reason I purchased it is I know ATT gets better coverage where my boyfriend lives b/c my BB tells me which towers I'm going off of and it says ATT...not Tmobile, lol...so I can't get data coverage just talk and text...I'm hoping with Aio I can get great coverage but not the insane prices ATT charges (even with my hospital employee discount...it would still be spendy!).

I dislike that the 620 only has 512 of RAM but I have to think of it as just using it as a basic phone to talk and text and stream Spotify in the car. I got a tablet (Nook HD+ 9 inch - which I do slightly regret b/c it is laggy even with NooktoAndroid sd card...but it works, right? and it was the CHEAPEST name brand tablet out there with the largest HD screen to boot:) ) over the holidays which I can use for all my Droid apps...Candy Crush, MyVegasSlots, Simpon's Tapped Out. I'm hoping the that 620 works well as a basic phone and isn't too laggy and slow like my Nook HD+. It's like a I want to go the affordable route but I want quality too, ya' know? And I know WP doesn't have a million apps...I'm used to that with BB, LOL! It's just too bad there's no back door to sideload onto the WP platform...but like I said I shouldn't have to if all my apps are on my tablet (of which I may upgrade during Black Friday this year to a Kindle, lol).

Here's to hoping everything goes smoothly!

I'm bought mine 3 month ago to replace my dying HTC Wildfire. The best phone for my budget at the time. low end android is too horrible. I know I'll be missing some apps when I decided to go with WP8, but turn out it's not as bad as I imagined. I have the essential apps I need. The only thing that I kinda disappointed is the battery. I wish I could be bigger and last longer. I only get 6-7 hours with 3G on and GPS disabled.

I got it because it fits my needs to my budget. Nice handset and as long as you add a Lumia 520 battery it becomes great

Firstly is that right, does the battery make a difference then, as i did have a 520 and it was so much longer lasting but assumed that was hardware based?

I bought my 620 as i had had a 520 and liked it but wanted the flash, and the extra map capability for Drive in case of journies further afield......the front facing cam doesn't do much for me....i am gutted about the radio however.....

Looking forward to black to see what differences it brings, oh and i was able to get my 620 in magenta (pink)......

Separate question, whats the best player for video, as when on 'droid i did love MX Player?
