Why do al the stories relate only to wp8.1?

I live in the UK and am not a developer.
WPC is my go-to wp news hub but ALL the stories are about something I simply cannot have - Windows Phone 8.1.
Can we please have some stories about things we CAN touch and feel?? (At least until WP8.1 is released internationally)
Not everyone is in the US and WP has to succeed outside the US.
Anyone else have any thoughts on this?
