Why do I have a System Busy when trying to make calls?

System busy when trying to make calls.

I have a Nokia Lumia 920, I can receive and send texts, however I cannot receive or make any phone calls. With an incoming call a beeping noise occurs. When making an out going calls it simply drops saying system busy.

Could you try and swap your SIM with someone else to determine if it is the phone or the SIM.
And take it from there.
