Why do I have multiple start screens while app switching?

Multiple start screens while app switching

Anyone else having this issue where multiple start screens are displayed when you press & hold the back key to switch apps ??
Its been happening very often for me now. Especially since that update to fix random reboot issue. Resets tried & failed.

L520 running WP8.1

I've this issue, looks like it happens for old devices only
