Why do I see so many questions about alarm volume control?

alarm volume control - why do I see so many questions on this but no answers from MS

I have a new Lumia 635. The first time when I used the alarm I sat straight up in bed and woke the house up. I tried all volume settings but I can't get control off the alarm volume. Is there a solution?

Isn't the Alarm tied to your Ringer volume? just reduce the ringer volume before you go to sleep, if that's a hassle for you, there are apps in the store that do that automatically I think its called Volume.

I believe that app "Volume" only works on WP 8.0. A new 635, should be on WP 8.1.
