Why do my Office apps auto close?

My Office apps such as Outlook and the Calendar auto close after I open them. I can look at them for a few seconds but as soon as I try to do anything they close all by themselves.

Very aggravating and makes them useless. Never had this problem until the last update.

this is for pc or phone?
Are you on insider version of OS?
Can you try a soft reset?
