Why is it that no matter how many music albums I put on my Microsoft-Lumia-535 phone -- it only show up 11 albums in GROOVE MUSIC ?? Where are all the other albums?? And How do I get them ALL to show up????????

I have 30 odd GB's of Music.. I want it ALL showing up on my phone! In one EASY accessible place!!!!!!!!

I DO NOT want bits of it showing up on the Micro-SD card -- and other bits here and there!!!!!! I want it ALL in one place!!!!!

Come on Microsoft!!!!!! HOW DO I DO IT?????

1) What OS version?
2) What build?
3) What type of internet connection did you use?
4) Did you try manual download?
5) Did you try logging out and then in?
6) Did you try phone restart then doing 4 and 5?

Internet connection BT Infinity Superfast Broadband

I am using a Windows 7, Packard Bell Laptop; but have downloaded Windows 10 onto it. So I have the Groove Music app on my desktop Laptop, (and that show's/contains all 35GB's of music by-the-way -- and is all well and good).

What I did was, I got my apple iPod (which is from 2007)... Then I downloaded iExplorer, and extracted all of my music albums from the iPod and put them back into iTunes, (which is also on my laptop desktop). So I did all of that step-by-step (which took several hours).

One thing I have noticed is that any Music Files that are m4a's are not recognized by Groove Music, so I am currently in the slow process of converting them all (via iTunes) to MP3 files, so that they get recognized by the Groove Music app on my Microsoft-Lumia-535 phone, -- with added Micro-SD card of 64GB's

So then I made a folder on my laptops desktop, called Music.

Then I transferred ALL of the 35GB's music into the "Groove Music" App on my desktop... (so now, when I click "start" and Groove Music; I can see all of my albums are in the Groove Music app (on my laptops desktop).

Then I plugged in my phone to my laptop, using the USB lead and I thought it would synch-up with what is on my laptop/desktop... i.e I thought it would "mirror" up, or "synchronize" or "be the same as" what is on "Groove Music" app on the Desktop, but it didn't do that ?

It only took the albums which are in iTunes-My-Music... It has NOT synchronized up with Groove Music at all? Why is this?

How do I get all of my music to play through GROOVE MUSIC? And why - when I plug my phone DIRECTLY INTO THE LAPTOP, is it NOT reading the GROOVE MUSIC app on the laptop?

Another weird thing... On my Phone, when I go to Groove Music, (as I've said -- there are only 11 albums -- in the "albums" section), but if I go to "Artists" then it brings up a bunch of albums underneath [for example] "Michael Jackson"... Or "Elvis Presley".... And then gives me a few of the "Lost" albums...

Also -- If I click on "Playlists" it gives me a MASSIVE list of 173 songs under the name "The Beatles" (for example).... or "Walt Disney" (for example), and then gives me access to more hidden songs that will not come up via "Albums"...

I wonder if I should un-install the Groove Music App, and then re-install it?

This is a Windows fan community. This isn't an official Microsoft forum. I think what you are looking for if you want support is - in Bing.com type "Groove support chat" - and they may be the best technical help around.

m4a - should be compatible with Groove - What file formats can I play with the Groove Music app on Windows 10? - Windows Help -

Your default location where Groove music will check is in Music folder on the PC. You can change that from within the app. However, I would recommend moving your files to Music folder on PC first. What I am assuming is happening here is - metadata may be corrupt when you converted from one library to another. Your Groove music on phone seems have have not synced completely. Have you tried to force sync on your mobile app? You can do this within settings and then by hitting sync my music.
