Why does my Bluetooth status revert to OFF when I have not done anthing to it?

Occasionally my Bluetooth status under SETTINGS displays OFF and I cannot use my Hands Free phone function in my car. I do NOT alter this status - it just seems to happen every now and again. Thank you.
