Why does my Lumia 1020, have a 4-5 discharge during stand by?

Lumia 1020, 4-5% discharge during stand by.

Please don't advice me to turn off apps running in the background.
I don't want to do any of those.

I have most of my apps running in the background.
But this happens all the time, they'll switch themselves on again.
'Themselves' reference to the apps.

Location on too.

So why? Is this normal?
Because on my iPhone it's close to 2% over an 8 hour period on idle.

Could it just by Cyan, would Denim fix it?

If you hav all your apps running in the background, how do you expect the battery to not drain? :/

I haven't seen any improvement in battery life post Denim. Mine discharges around 3-4% per hour on idle in 2G, considerable number of applications running in background and location on.

IPhone drains very minimally on idle when screen is not switched on. Dont expect the same on your windows phone!!

You have background apps all turned on, location and and data and expect not to have battery drain?
You must be kidding.
How do you expect your apps to run and not use battery? To use solar power? Think a little bit.

If you want to reduce battery drain, first of course turn off background apps that you don't need, turn off location when you don't use and it would be useful if you soft reset your phone, or even hard reset. Then see what happens.

Turn cellur connection and wifi off. And you can get 2% drain in 8 hours.

I think you know NUTS about Windows Phones. Both my 1020 and 1520 have good standby time. Your iphone battery capacity is pathetically small!!!

I have 1-2% battery drain every night while I sleep. Not an hour, just the whole night. I use 3G, no apps run, and location/wifi/BT off. 4-5% sounds normal with apps and locations on. Sorry mate.

4-5%/hr is normal. For those who want to make the most of their phone (4G on, data, location and all apps (except for Here Drive) running in the background), this is about right. Depending on what iPhone you have the optimisation plays a part - Apple heavily optimise iOS for their hardware. Although, I can tell you my brother's 4S hardly gets a day of usage with 3G and data off.

Yes, my iPhone 4 too.
But this is regarding standby mode.
