Why does my Lumia 640 LTE stop copying when I attempt to download from my laptop?

[Windows Central Question]

I go through the steps recommended in the Lumia user guide but the copying is halted. A window opens and states that "The device has been either stopped or has been disconnected" and states " Stop Copying" and/or "Skip file"

I am unable to copy all or parts of my Music folder.
