switch to airplane mode then turn it off after a while. this will initiate a fresh search for location by your device and make sure you are connected to an internet source ( wifi or LTE)

Have you been to texas in a short while? such issues are common but gets resolved on its own.

Perhaps Cricket's external IP addresses, or those belonging to whatever ISP your Wi-Fi goes through, are listed as existing in Texas?

What app or setting says you are in TX?

A few more specifics may help diagnose the issue. I'm on Cricket and have not seen any location errors. My Maps, Amazing Weather and NOAA High Def all follow me faultlessly.

FWIW, internet on my work PC shows me at the corporate office in another city. It's due to how our internet is routed, and as mentioned above, probably the same issue, but with how Cricket handles it. Annoying in that searches on bing, google, etc. all assume I'm in another city.

I'm curious, do you have location services/GPS disabled? Maybe that is why it is defaulting to network traffic for location?
