Windows Central Question

If my phone is off, i then charge it and it switches itself on. I turn it off, it boots up again. Why?

It's by design, although I'm not sure of the reasoning behind that "feature". Every WP I have owned will power on if charging.

Very annoying "feature" for sure. And one that has bothered me since the WP7 days. Wish they'd allow my phone to charge while off.

I always charge my phone before I go to sleep at night. The always on "feature" also enables my alarm to wake me up next morning... so, its not as annoying as it seems
Of course, the better way is its OFF when charging and still have the alarm ring on time...

I understand every has their own wishes, so perhaps it should be user choice, but I don't understand a reason to turn your phone off these days. You can use Quiet Hours setting to keep the phone silent if you're charging while you're sleeping or whatever.

For a quicker charge.
