Why does my Xbox have continuous music play?

Device Lumia 1520, Windows phone 8.1 ( not dev preview ), UK, O2 network
When I play any album in xbox music it always puts a break between tracks. This is very annoying as I listen to a lot of Pink Floyd etc. Is there a setting somewhere to change this?

No. Gapless playback is a feature that a lot of people want but hasn't been implemented by Microsoft yet.

Yeah, really sucks listening to Pink Floyd albums and the like, where the songs blend from one to the next. Also live albums are a pain!
