Why does my Xbox One turn off as soon as I log in to my account on it?

Windows Central Question

I installed the "windows 10" November update on my Xbox One and whenever I type in my e-mail and password and hit enter, the Xbox just shuts down without saying anything, which makes it impossible to play or even open up an app.
