Why does the cursor disappear while typing?

I could KISS you - this fix has solved my problem on my Dell XPS with windows 8. I was going *out of my MIND* with the cursor disappearing constantly :angry::angry::angry::angry:

Everything was taking a billion times longer than it needed to with the constant disappearance and having to reclick to get the cursor back. THANK YOU!!! :kiss::kiss::kiss::kiss::kiss:

It has to do with the settings.
