Why does the Icon lacks the awesome Nokia Glance?

LED is still LCD, it may lead to confusion but OLED is not related to LED, so the screen burn could affect your 1520 (and any other LCD phone).

Lumia 928 has glance and AMOLED...of course there seems to be a higher occurrence of the screen freeze issue with our models.

Joe Belfiore actually responded to the Icon lacking Glance in a tweet, saying: "Actually, I don't know on that one. :) Try asking nokia."

It's funny how Microsoft is throwing Nokia under the bus on this issue. I wonder if they were mad at Nokia behind the scenes for not including Glance support or what.

Well maybe the best i can say is quote someone i don't remember who had said "maybe they couldn't work out some bug before the launch, and not wanting to delay the launch any more, released it without glance, hoping to send a fix later." sounds okay...

I don't think they are similar, but I just knew that all types of screen could have screen burn, although OLED/LED are the most susceptible, followed by plasma and then LCD.

Well hey better do it because since WP lacks notification lights and notification center, glance was a very cool solution and a pretty good looking one too.
