Why does the Surface 3 hard disk suck so much ?

I use to own a Surface 3 and the biggest problem I found with it is the hard drive space was slow and buggy. I wish they would of went with a SSD.

Coming from an asus vivotab RT, and a yaffle of android heaps, The surface 3's we own are downright rocketships for everything we do. My son's ipad is pretty speedy, but with only 16gb of storage, its slowed to a crawl now. We are going get him a new air with 128gb. He needs it for all his apps, games, movies etc. I would get him a surface, but the apps for autism on ipad are far ahead of whats available on the windows store.
