why does windows ten task bar left click not work?

when I left click on windows 10 task bar it does not respond I have to right click on it to open all icons

Maybe your mouse settings got mesed up?

Honestly if things aren't running well and you're willing to go through re-installing your apps, I would do a reset.

Go to Settings>Updates And security> Recovery and then go to "Reset the PC" Select just keep your files but remove apps and such. This cleans up registry and a lot of things. But you do start fresh.
