Why does Windows want to view, manage, and permanently delete your mail in Gmail

I am adding my gmail account to the Mail program and I am afraid to give Windows permission to:

View, manage, and permanently delete your mail in Gmail
Create, update, and delete labels
Compose and send new email
View your settings (e.g., filters and labels)

What does it mean by 'create and delete' labels, and 'compose and send' new email?
And it keeps telling me my Yahoo settings are out of date. Then it sends me back to "Windows would like to" page. Help?

That's the standard permission request for all apps.

Create delete and compose new mails means the MAIL functions; YOU give app permissions to them, so YOU can compose delete create etc. etc.
Apps need your explicit permission for let you making all single thing they made
Common request in all o.s. (Droids, iStuffs ...)
