Maps - no road lines!

I have the i5/256/dGPU version, and I'm very happy with it - relatively few issues (battery drain, mostly). However, I'm having problems with the built-in Maps app - it doesn't draw any lines for the road. This happens whether or not I've downloaded maps for the area. Anyone seeing something similar?

Don't have the Book but here's the built in Maps app on my desktop running W10 ... I have no idea why there wouldn't be road lines. :straight:

I hadn't checked mine before, but no that I have, I see the same thing! If I zoom way out, the roads show, but not at normal view magnification.

Glad I'm not the only one! I've never had a problem with maps on any of my other Windows 10 devices. Hopefully MS fixes this ASAP!

I know I'm risking feeding the troll, but why are you even here?

Re: Maps - no road lines!

It looks like a bug in the integrated video driver. If I go to the NVIDIA control panel and change the Preferred graphics processor from auto-select to High-performance NVIDIA processor, the street lines appear. Move it back and they disappear.

I can't find an easy way to make a program specific setting to use the NVIDIA GPU for the Maps program (Maps.Windows.exe) without taking ownership of the "C:\Program files\WindowsApps) directory and making the necessary permission changes. I can live with this like it is for the time being.

Hopefully when a new integrated video driver is released it will fix this issue among others, like the driver crashing issue.
