Why doesn't my Windows 10 have a START screen?

My windows 10 does not have a START screen

I recently had Windows 10 download onto my computer. There is reference to a START screen. I don't have one. I don't have a START button or Icon.

Is the taskbar on the bottom of the screen?

What do you have? Can you post a screenshot? Do you a desktop, icons, a taskbar with a clock?
