Why don't I have sound on my Lumia 520?

no sound on my lumia 520

When I dial out or return call there is no sound, no ringing tone nor can I hear anyone at the other end, any suggestions ?

This looks like a hardware problem, but try a soft reset and if you want to go through with it, use the lumia recovery tool to reset the phone completely
