why has my screen started flashing off and on after I sign in

[Windows Central Question]

I sign in then am informed that my machine has been updated and not to switch power off then it just constantly flashes at this screen for well over an hour before I give up and switch off.

Hi Welcome to Windows Central. What machine? Are you running W10 anniversary? When you power on, do you get past POST? Do you get the log on screen? After you log on, what happens. Many questions!
