Because Windows mobile only has 1% market share. It's not a priority for many developers.

it depends on a lot of factors - have you attempted to contact the developer of the app which you find out of date? Maybe they just need a push

I've often wondered why Microsoft doesn't provider developers for free for the major apps, at least until they get the market share up. That costs money but MS has bucket loads of that and all the advertising in the world means nothing if the major apps aren't available.

Anyone know why they don't?

I bet Apple can't wait for windows mobile to die so they can finally update their dated interface to use tiles.

Isn't that what they actually did, I mean they wrote the initial Youtube, Facebook and other assorted Windows Phone apps.
