Why I cant change background picture in windows 10 mobile?

I cant change background image in windows 10 mobile. It gives an option to change it however, nothing happens after I choose the picture. Can someone pls help with this?

Is this a picture on your OneDrive, or one that you have locally on your phone?

Are you sure you're changing the background and not your lock screen (I've sometimes got myself mixed up between the two)?

Are you running "High Contrast" from the ease of access settings? Doing this will disable certain personalisation features.

try finding the picture in the Photos app and setting the wallpaper from there. For me, that wallpaper option is outright broken. Why? Unfinished product i suppose.

This works fine for me on 10166. Earlier builds were broken or had scaling issues for me. I can set both background and lock screen on my phone.

In case anyone reads this - make sure in photos - view ondrive photos is turned off.
