Why is Headphone mode always on?

I am using Lumia 620 dev p update 1 , and there a weird problem I have , i haven't connected headphones to my phone ,but when i press the volume rocker it has headphones so i cannot play music or perform any kind of sound from my speaker , please help Microsoft is testing my patience one problem after abothe please help

If one soft reset doesn't help, dont bother with more.

Also, I know it feels great and fashionable to blame Microsoft, but its often the nature of the headphone jack, I've seen stuck ones on iPhones, Palms, etc. I suspect its stuck in the ON position. Try un/plugging in a headset a couple times.

As you said it 620, you can also try Removing back cover. It could let u know if something clotted the audio jack..

Yeah when I remove the back cover ,the speaker works,it's shows media +apps sound but when I use the covers it shows headphones again,but I don't think they still have covers for Lumia 620

It means your Head Phone jack has got Clotted with something which is triggering ON. Only solution is to change Back Cover. It can be bought new or corrected.

Or a good vacuum. Mines always in my pocket and the lint gets stuck in the earpiece/mouthpiece screens. I dint wanna wear a phone holster either.
