Why is my 4G missing after the Denim update on my L920 in India?

4G missing after denim update on L920 in India

Sometime during December my Lumia 920 in India received an update which added 4G to highest connection speed in cellular + SIM but after the recent denim update 4G is no longer visible, anyone with same issue?

Yes My lumia 920 running the preview had 4G option but after the recent denim firmware update, Microsoft decided to disable it( I don't know the reason behind this )

My l1520 also lost 4g settings

This is very weird, I didn't know the Indian CV supported LTE Bands 4 and 17 as per 920's specifications page. Regardless if it does then its weird again that Microsoft has disabled the bands (or at least the option to manually select) with the Denim update. One speculation could be since the LTE bands used in India are different than what's enabled for the Indian CV, the disabling could be intentional to save battery life

I noticed the same after my denim update for 830. Pankaj891 is probably right. We may get it later if the choose to enable that feature again. However, the 4g option would be useless if there is not network provider using the bands.

Yes, saving battery life may be the reason but I frequently travel out of India, 4G option could have been useful to me. Hope we get the option back.

I don't think 920 support 4G, that mobile setting options is there in many non 4G phones, 1520 international version support 2 bands and those are not used by any network in India
