Why is my laptop so slow after upgrading to windows 10

I upgraded my Sony Vaio laptop in Nov 15, ever since its running very slow, the laptop has and Intel i5 processor and ssd memory.
As I am not very tech. savy, is there anyone I can speak to talk me through a fix as my laptop is barely usable after the upgrade to windows 10

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker - Windows 7 Help Forums
(option 2)

Its for Windows 7, but it still applies.
