Why is my Lumia 640 xl hanging when I transfer sms's?

I recently bought Lumia 640xl and I wanted to transfer my sms's from my samsung s4 into my lumia but the transfer hangs at 67%. The feedback message is that the bluetooth has disconnected. I reconnected and even restarted the phones but the problem is still the same. What could be the problem?
