Why is my Lumia 920's battery life draining so fast?

I personally don't think it's simply a bad / old battery. It sounds like you have a rouge app draining it. My 920 is doing the same. It's 3 years old and the battery won't last a full day, but that's normal and not the issue for me. This is:

At night I go to bed with it 100% charged and its at 45% when I wake up. Not normal. Still trying to solve it.

On some occasions I have left it, with 100%, at night, and woke up to a dead phone. I check Battery Saver but see nothing using much battery. I don't like leaving it on the Qi charger as, again, occasionally, the phone can get very hot. So, I have started shutting it down, at night, and that has solved my problem.

I leave mine on the Qi overnight and many times when I'm not using it and the only time mine runs warm on the charger is while it's charging and it's just warm. It won't hurt the phone to leave it on the charger, it will shut itself off if nothing is wrong with your phone and the pointer "gpobernardo" made about running your battery down to 30% before charging is correct these are Li-on battery's they down have the memory problems of the older style battery's. Constantly draining your battery down like that is not a good idea.

My 920 is going on 3 years old now and the battery is better now than it was 2 years ago because I found what to disable running in the background and the Cyan update really helped as well, because it gave us more control over the phones OS.

Probably the warmest mine gets now is when I'm running navigation apps with a charger connected, it is pretty much a balancing act then. I don't gain anything on the battery but don't lose either, and if I start out on navigation below 50% with the charger hooked up it gets pretty hot.

And when I used to let my wife run Facebook app it would hog the battery down, because it wants to stay connected and keep updated with everything on the web. Facebook is a terrible battery hog if you let it connect and update on everything it wants its nose stuck in.

My Nokia Lumia 920 battery is drying very faster and phone will heat up like IRON BOX plz can u help it how to increase the battery life

The Nokia Lumia 920 is really old. The new software that Microsoft introduces has more and more features. This will inadvertently take a big toll on older generation smartphone devices. This is not unique only to Windows devices but across all platforms and devices.
My advice is to upgrade to a more powerful device that is able to support all the features of new operating systems.
A small solution for short term is to do a hard reset. The battery drain could be a bug and doing a hard reset can most of the time remove the bug.
Or take all the background apps off.
