why is my phone's screen going off all the time

It's the first time I experience problems with my Nokia Lumia 625. It's almost been a week that my screen locks by iyself, and when I touch the power button itbdoesn't want to turn on the screen. When i put my charger in the screen goes on. But otherwise it doesn't work.

Most likely you have a faulty/ broken lock key. take it to the nearest service center
