Why is my WhatsApp locked and why doesn't it launch?

WhatsApp locked, doesn't launch

Hi guy's,

I noticed something strange with my WhatsApp today.
The live tile icon looks disabled, and I can't launch it from the tile or the app list.

Any idea what's going on?

I am reluctant to uninstall and reinstall it, because I have a lifetime subscription

If your phone was backing up and it didn't complete properly that could cause that, usually a simple shutdown and restart should fix that. If it's the same as I had then that should do the trick.

Its still locked after a soft reset

Yeah.. Mine also locked. Using Lumia 820 here...
While on my other Lumia 830, Whatsapp operates as usual.
When I search Whatsapp in the Store, there's no option for "View" and "Share"... I'm afraid if I uninstall it, I cannot reinstall again.

Just delete old backup from manage backup and install again ..Now it works perfectly on my Lumia 830

Same issue here, deleted the app and couldn't reinstall it again!!

Not working on my 820 either. Suddenly got like disabled n not launching at all. Tried restart the fone but didn't work.
