Why is my Windows DVD not allowing me to install windows

I initially had a Windows 8.1 DVD which was able to boot in both UEFI and BIOS modes. I copied all the files inside that DVD for a backup. Now, the DVD is lost and I am left with the files which I copied from the DVD, but simply copying them to the DVD isn't helping. What should I do?

If your saying you copied you original 8.1 DVD that came with the computer to another disk then there is nothing you can do. I don't think your able to copy an original OS disk without some type of copying protection on the disk itself.

Yes I have multiple operating systems now (Windows 8.1, Ubuntu 14.04, CentOS 7) The DVD which I am talking about didn't come with the laptop, but I got it from a friend. I have all the files which were present on the DVD but I just need to make it bootable in both UEFI and BIOS modes.

I am the same person who started this thread, but the only difference is that, I am now a registered user.
