why is surround sound recording missing on windows 10 mobile camera on lumia 930 ?

because they rearranged how multiple audio channels work on w10 and claimed it is superior to 8.1's way, so you now got stereo

there's no info regarding this other than that, if you can take a hint, 5.1 audio recording is not high on the list for "businesses"

edit: just asked the proshot guys if they could implement 5.1 audio, they said OS controls the microphones and doesnt let developers do much with it

so no hope for 3rd party solution

audio on lumia 930 with windows phone 8.1 was much better in videos now in windows mobile 10 it is not very good

There is an app called "audio recorder pro" which let's you choose between microphones in the phone. I wonder if it is possible then to start a different thread with each recording st the same time. Although I don't know if these kind of microphones would really show any advantage recording at 5.1. The 5.1 microphones I have seen are a bit expensive and much bigger...
