why is the settings asking for an app ???

I wasnt using my lumia for about a month... bt when i took it today.. nd looked out fr settings app... it didnt open.. saying "u must install an app fr this task" and it went into store nd said " no results".. similarly another 2-3 apps did this thing... downloads nd updates too r nt downloading... it shows some error code..

Give your phone a soft reset (Hold down the power button for about 15 seconds, or until the phone vibrates and restarts itself.) Then open up the store and check for updates.

I have done wat u said... same s happening again nd again... settings s not there.. nd that same apps r not opening... its asking fr an app to install.. bt nothing comes in store
