It used to disappear automatically when I would watch videos along with several other things. Now, ever since I last updated my computer, I can't even use the damn scroll bar to scroll down because the taskbar is always blocking the down arrow! The auto-hide option doesn't work either!

auto hiding the taskbar did work for me tho
