Why is there no love for the Lumia 928?

Always hear about the 920 and 925, but not much about the 928. The 928 has better specs than the 920 and its basically the 925 but has additional 16GB on board storage (32GB total) and better flash for the camera. the Lumia 928 is a great phone that just doesn't get much love or publicity!

Probably the 928 gets far less mention since it is only sold by a single US carrier. The 920 and 925 are available globally.

One thing the 928 has going for it besides being a great phone are the GSM bands built in. If most GSM users want a 928, they can get one and put the GSM SIM card in and away they go. Wish the 1520 had CDMA bands.

Agree with Laura. It is primarily because it is on Verizon and only Verizon and there is no real international variant. I personally like it and got it off eBay at a fairly good price. As odd as it sounds, I really like have both the headphone jack and power connection on top. I am sure many would disagree, but very easy to charge in the car in a cup holder.
Overall I like the phone, decent battery life, a great smart phone camera. My biggest hope is Windows Phone 8.1 addresses issues many users have been asking for in an update.

Yea, WPcentral didn't even do a review for it... but, even low end WP8 devices are reviewed on this site....

It's essentially a 920. Except:
for Verizon (CDMA radio) in the US only.
boxier design (no fancy colors)
xenon flash
AMOLED display like the 925

that's about it

And don't forget the extra 16 gigs of memory. Great phone, had for months. Ran GDR3 dev preview with no performance issues. Can't wait for Black firmware update. The pictures and videos it takes are incredible. My wife has one too and the phones have replaced our everyday point and shoot camera.

the 920 has 32 GB onboard, there is also a much rarer 32 GB 925 of I remember

No FM radio, add Xenon flash, AMOLED (plus or minus depending on your view, I love it, myself), it does have a boxier shape, but splits the weight between 920/925 while retaining Qi charging.

As for not being mentioned, it is officially a single carrier 920 variant. That's about it.

I love mine. My only complaint is that we are based in the mountains and I have to change my cellular to roam to send/receive pic messages. As where my sons Droid DNA and my wife's Samsung g4 do not.

The 928 is a great phone - I've tried it out in the Verizon store and also tried it out after one of my relatives got one. Laura has a good point on it only being on Verizon though.

The 928 is a great phone, but can be a tad glitchy. The screen on mine still freezes on occasion, though with each update it occurs less and less. Im eagerly awaiting black and 8.1.

Absolutely love my 928! Agree that there seems to be little love for it. I get that it probably has to do with limited distribution. Is there any chance that we won't be getting the Black update?

it we will be, its for all lumias.

I love mine, but yes, Laura is right - it is most likely due to being only available on a single carrier in the world.
