Why is this update available message showing when I power on my phone?

when I power on I receive an update is available message

says connect to Wi-Fi to download, but nothing further happens, the only available other option is " dismiss "

Try this : Go to settings.. Make sure your time n date settings are correct ( keep it automatic for accuracy ) now go to phone update option in settings. Click check for update. You will see an update is ready for download option. Click it and I think the download will start. Another thing you must note is... You cannot update with your existing cellular data connection plans. You need a WiFi connection to update. And you are not getting that download option bcauz you are not connected to WiFi network. Hence only dismiss option is shown
