Why isn't my 920 accepting any SIM card?

MY 920 isn't accepting any SIM card

I've got a replacement 1 month ago, since then my 920 is not accepting any SIM card.
i'm pretty sure it is a hardware issue, but can any one explain why + how?

Are you using any kind of SIM adapter? If so please go and get a micro SIM from your provider, these phones do not play well with SIM adapters (you risk damaging something) or cut Sims that may not have good contact with your phone). If all else fails do a soft reset and if that fails too I suggest sending it in for a replacement.

I don't know what your particular issue is, but I can tell you that replacing the sim reader on a 920 is a PITA.

It is difficult to do on this phone. On some Lumias, it's not too bad. On this one, it's no fun.

Look in sim card slot with a torch to make sure pins aren't broken, If they look ok then some sticky tape on back of sim card should help,make contact with pins, As stated earlier if they at broken then replacing the reader is a major job requiring a heat gun and lots of patience
