Why isn't my Cortana reading incoming texts?

Cortana not reading incoming texts

Okay, got windows 10 up and running on my 1520, everything seems fine but Cortana is not notifying me or reading me incoming texts and this is one of the things I adore about this phone. If I can't find a solution to this I will be rolling back to 8.1.

What's your setting in Cortana (Notebook\Settings) for "Read incoming text messages aloud"? I think Bluetooth only is the default.

go to settings>Extras>Hey Cortana>Learn more>Cortana settings:
under "Read incoming text message aloud", set it to Always On. Your Cortana will now read your incoming texts.
