why my phone not showing anything new feature in latest update for prev. for developer?

my lumia is having some problem, i installed the latest OS update with the help of preview of developer. but i didnt saw any changes , the file folder doesnt work, cortana is not there , nothing new. as it is same old lumia CYAN, what to do?

my device- lumia 1020

Go to 'about' menu in settings. See what OS version is listed there. The latest preview version is: 8.10.14203.306.

No, it's showing there 8.10.12400.899 :-(

Did you installed ALL updates? First the device installs like a "pre" update then installs 8.1 update... Aaaand then installs all the others updates... Check in "phone updates again... Probably there's something else to install

Yea I installed all the updates, recently I had Lumia 1320 and I did this before... But now when I check for updates, it always show error with some digit 13***** something

This has happened to me quite a few times. Especially when using preview for developers. Once updating and then trying to update again i would receive an error code. After the first initial update that actually worked I then factory reset the device.So after the first update try factory resetting your device. (backup if needed). Once the device is set up go ahead and download preview for developers (note: you will have to register your device as a developer through the wp8 sdk). Then hit update and it should work. Now you are on the latest firmware. You could also try uninstalling the dev preview app or un-enrolling yourself and then enrolling yourself in the program again.
